Amy engages life, her work and her family with great passion and perseverance.
Formerly a contractor of the Federal Government and the private sector, Amy has worked in Project Management and a variety of Human Resources roles throughout her career. Amy spent her time at NASA Glenn Research Center working in support of Organizational Development, Change Management, Employee Development, Employee and Labor Relations, and Employee Incentive Programs. More recently, Amy managed the Summer of Innovation program and other STEM based Educational Program Office projects, reaching underserved and under-represented K-12 students.
Amy pursued her college degree while working full time and raising her oldest daughter as a single mother, and has always prided herself on her independence and perseverance. She earned her Bachelors in Business Administration from Kent State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Along the way, she earned several certifications that helped carve her interest in small business, technology and project schedule analytics.
Amy is married with three children, raising her family in her childhood hometown. Amy left the comfort of a professional career to focus on a better work life balance. Amy enjoys taking time for herself with yoga and movie dates with her husband. She also enjoys being a parent advocate at her children’s schools - addressing the concerns of special needs students, standardized testing, children and family rights and school policy issues.
