Tosca enjoys facilitating leaders and teams when they engage in useful learning on issues related to organizational development, culture, and change management; she in turn strives to be a lifelong learner.
Tosca Bruno-van Vijfeijken has worked on international development, nonprofit, and NGO issues for 30 years. She has done this in practice, in academia, and as an independent consultant, coach, and team coach. Her work with nonprofit, NGO, and philanthropic leaders focuses on leadership development, team coaching, change management, organizational culture, governance, talent strategies, and organizational effectiveness.
While her practitioner background mainly was grounded in the international development sector, her research, thought leadership work, senior leadership development, and change management work have focused on cross-sectoral NGO and nonprofit concerns, and now also include US domestic clients. Tosca has co-delivered 25+ Senior Leadership Development Programs and has guided several major global NGOs on change management issues. She offers governance effectiveness reviews to clients and is an experienced board member. Tosca offers executive coaching services, is the founder and one of the coaches behind a course offering on Virtual Team Leadership, and enjoys work on gender and leadership as well as organizational DEI strategies. Tosca is a public thought leader and co-author of the book ‘Between Power and Irrelevance: the Future of Transnational NGOs’ and is host of the podcast “NGO Soul+Strategy.” Tosca is a Core Practitioner at Corentus, Inc., a renowned provider of team coaching to nonprofits and private sector organizations alike. As an alum of Corentus team coaching courses and programs, and an experienced facilitator and adult educator herself, she was impressed by the quality of Corentus’ training methodology as well as its content. Tosca is a dual national of the Netherlands and United States, has a Master's in International Relations and Political Science, Leiden University, the Netherlands, and she holds a Certificate in Organizational Change Management, University of Twente in the Netherlands.
