Community Engagement Lead
Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Engagement Lead to spearhead our community outreach efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage community members, building relationships with key stakeholders, and promoting our organization’s programs and services.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development and Implementation:
Develop and execute comprehensive community engagement plans to enhance community involvement and support.
Identify opportunities for community partnerships and collaborations.
Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for community inquiries and engagement.
Program Management:
Plan, organize, and facilitate community events, workshops, and meetings.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure community feedback is integrated into program development and improvement.
Outreach and Communication:
Create and distribute engaging content to promote community events and initiatives via social media, newsletters, and other communication channels.
Represent the organization at community meetings, events, and other public forums.
Data and Reporting:
Track and analyze community engagement metrics to measure the effectiveness of initiatives.
Prepare regular reports on community engagement activities and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Work, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, or a similar role.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups.
Proven ability to develop and implement successful community engagement strategies.
Experience in event planning and management.
Proficiency in using social media platforms and other digital communication tools.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for community events.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with non-profit organizations or community-based programs.
Knowledge of the local community and its needs.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities.

Work Environment:
This is a remote, 30-hour-a-week contract position. The Community Engagement Lead may be expected to work some weekends and evenings as needed to meet deadlines or address technical issues, but the hours will not exceed 30-a-week.
