Instructional Designer
Department: eLearning & Development
Reports to: Director of Programs & Chief of Practitioner Support, Development and Care
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Instructional Designer to support the development and implementation of our digital learning initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing:
the design of new courses/programs and the redesign of current courses/programs with resources within Corentus and third-party consultants
the development, support, and care of the learners of the courses/programs
the operational and tactical implementation of the courses/programs on three platforms: Talent LMS, Teams, and Zoom
Key Responsibilities
Support our eLearning courses/programs including the needs of the learners and faculty
Support the Director of Programs in the execution of our eLearning strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals
Continuously improve and enhance the design, development, and implementation of e-learning modules and programs by applying tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to produce interactive, engaging, and effective learning content
Manage LMS (Learning Management System) including content upload, user management, and report generation
Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course
Evaluate and analyze the effectiveness of eLearning programs through KPIs and feedback, making adjustments as necessary
Stay abreast of the latest eLearning technology and trends to provide recommendations for enhancing the eLearning strategy
Train and provide support to staff and users on the use of eLearning programs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred
Proven working experience in instructional design with instructional technology
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
Lesson and curriculum planning skills
Solid knowledge of course development software
Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning platforms
Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
Solid project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other eLearning authoring tools
Thrives in working in an entrepreneurial environment
Preferred Skills:
Experience with multimedia production and graphic design
Experience in a global/multicultural and multilingual environment
Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, and other eLearning standards
Professional certification in project management or instructional design

Work Environment:
This is a remote, 30-hour-a-week contract position. The Community Engagement Lead may be expected to work some weekends and evenings as needed to meet deadlines or address technical issues, but the hours will not exceed 30-a-week.
