When a leading energy and defense company set out to strengthen its leadership pipeline, they knew it would require more than a one-off training. They needed a long-term, evolving program to prepare high-potential leaders to navigate increasing complexity and drive results across the business.
Long-Term Partnership with a Strategic Focus
Since 2014, Corentus has partnered with the company to co-design and deliver a dynamic leadership development program aimed at rising leaders in program, project, and technical roles. These high-potential managers and senior contributors were on the cusp of broader leadership responsibilities—and the program was designed to help them step into that future with clarity, skill, and confidence.
Program Design for Real-Time Application
The engagement was rooted in a clear objective: equip leaders with the self-awareness, strategic mindset, and practical tools to lead effectively in real time, not just in theory. Participants identified personal learning goals and immediately began applying new insights and approaches to their day-to-day leadership challenges.
The program combines in-person learning, virtual sessions, and personalized coaching. Across three workshops, participants explore topics like resilient leadership, team effectiveness, and enterprise-level strategic influence. They learn tools such as the Team Wheel™, RACI-D, stakeholder mapping, and productive accountability conversations. Two live webinars deepen skills in decision-making, meeting design, and navigating difficult conversations. A recent enhancement—individual coaching sessions before the first workshop—was especially well received and set the tone for more engaged, personalized learning.
Tangible Results and Advancement
The impact has been tangible. A majority of program alumni have since been promoted to broader leadership roles. Participants report stronger team performance, greater confidence in navigating complexity, and sharper decision-making.
