John D Roberts is the principal of BIG IDEA. For more than 25 years, he’s played roles in the long-term strategic success of organizations, helping them and their leaders learn. He creates the conditions for leaders, managers, and teams to make sense of complex, fast changing times and to become more capable, responsible, resilient, and reflective. John offers coaching, programs, and tailored solutions for challenging organizational passages.

John D Roberts began his career writing case studies and designing learning programs with former leaders of The Forum Corporation as a consultant at Performance Systems, Inc. There he designed, developed, and facilitated management, sales, and customer service programs and meetings for clients including Fidelity Investments, Scholastic Inc., MCI Communications, C.R. Bard, and PepsiCo. John continued that work as a project partner to training and organizational development consultancies such as Sales Development Associates (Chicago), Triformance Group (New York) and Impact Performance Group (Boston) until he was temporarily wooed to staff roles by The Boston Consulting Group and later MIT and Vistaprint. Since completing a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, John has focused on developing leaders, managers, and teams through BIG IDEA coaching & consulting and in a growing number of collaborations with associates.
