Lauren coaches leaders and executive to be authentic leaders with the ability to navigate personal, professional, organizational, and industry dynamics.

Lauren is a team coach, executive coach, and consultant and a Corentus associate. She has over 30 years of experience as a leader, executive, and leadership coach in the government, non-profit and for-profit sectors. She has served as a senior executive leading public-private partnerships and interagency programs across federal agencies and has held leadership positions in non-profit health research and consulting firms, federally funded research and development centers, healthcare consulting firms, and large IT service providers.

Her passion for coaching began at the MITRE Corporation, where she led the health portfolio and was among the inaugural cohort of the leadership development program. Her journey as a leader took her to diverse organizations in the private sector in progressively more senior positions. Her work eventually led her back to federal service where she focused on building coalitions and public/private partnerships to advance interoperability in the health industry. She embodies coaching and leader development as core tenets of her leadership, working to align individual, team, and organizational goals and strategies in fulfillment of mission.

Her work as a team coach focuses on working with leaders and teams toward effective collaboration across boundaries to advance organizational strategy, team alignment, and results delivery.

As a consultant and facilitator, Lauren works extensively with teams in building coalitions and collaborative cross-organizational partnerships. She works with clients in creating innovative business and information technology strategies and designing agile organizational structures and systems to execute those strategies.

Lauren holds a doctorate in health policy and strategic management from The George Washington University, where she also earned her master’s degree. She studied leadership development and coaching at Georgetown University and with Corentus, becoming certified as a Leadership Coach and Team Coach. She is also certified in The Leadership Circle Profile, Collective Assessment, and Leadership System and the Team Management Profile.  She is on the faculty of the Key Executive Leadership Program at American University.

Lauren lives in Alexandria, Virginia with her dog and cat, and has a son attending college in Savannah, GA.
