Our small but mighty consulting firm is searching for the right person to help us increase our efficiency and productivity by streamlining our HR, IT and operational systems and processes.  Our head of operations will own the overall business processes for the company, allowing others in the organization to spend more time devoted to ending needless suffering in teams.

We are looking for someone who is: extremely organized; always looking for ways to simplify and improve processes; comfortable with a variety of IT platforms; quick to learn new tools and ways of working; experienced in Human Resources, Finance, Project Management, Systems Integration and/or Operations; all while maintaining composure, communicating effectively, and generally being great to work with.

job responsibilities

  • Improve the existing procedures for client relationship management, Human Resources processes, contract/vendor management, and financial coordination.

  • Investigate, recommend, and work with vendors to implement efficient and effective IT solutions.

  • Oversee contracts with vendors and subcontractors, coordinating with outside Legal assistance as necessary.

  • Review and approve all operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment.

  • Oversee the work of all operations vendors and subcontractors, acting as the single point of contact for all things operations within Corentus.

  • Coordinate Agendas for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual staff meetings. Track action items and follow up accordingly.

  • Training new and existing staff on processes and tools.

  • Forecast requirements, prepare an annual operations budget, schedule expenditures, and analyze variances that impact the operations budget of the company.

  • Consult in the establishment of the compensation system for internal and subcontract employees.

  • Work closely with accounting and invoicing to implement compensation structure and bonus payments.

preferred qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, and/or related fields

  • 4+ years operations and/or project management experience

  • 4+ years human resources experience

  • Advanced written and verbal communications skills (multilingual a plus)

  • Possession of key competencies, including business negotiation, organization, team effectiveness, decision making, adaptability, self-motivation, people management, reporting skills, deadline orientation, ability to maintain composure under pressure, and continuous improvement mindset

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and business management systems such as Insightly, Harvest, Expensify, and QuickBooks

  • Familiarity with data storage organization and file structure within systems like One Drive, Drop Box and Google Drive

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience working internationally a plus

Our company is geographically dispersed. We have ‘hubs’ across the United States and abroad. Our major hubs are in Boston, MA, and Washington, D.C., with satellite hubs in the Midwest (near Cleveland, OH), California, Europe, Central America, and Canada.

This is a home office-based position and 90% of the work can be completed remotely. Although, if the chosen candidate is near one of the hubs, there will be opportunities to meet and work face-to-face with a number of our team members.

travel requirements

This position will require up to 10% travel, mostly to the East Coast of the US for quarterly and annual Strategy Meetings.

physical requirements

The physical demands of this position are mostly the demands necessary for computer usage and verbal communication. The selected candidate will need to provide their own office space and basic desk equipment.  Corentus will provide the necessary hardware/software as needed to perform the duties of the position.
